The BC SPCA cares for and assists more than 47,776 abandoned, abused, injured, and homeless animals each year. Between their cruelty investigations department, humane education, and farm animal welfare programs, the BC SPCA continues to lead the way in helping vulnerable animals in B.C.

My life was touched when Coco, the Bengal cat, scampered into my life 16 years ago - energetic and full of life. The years have now slowed Coco down but what has remained is her fiercely unmistakable voice. The cadence of her 'Bengalese' speaks volumes as she articulates a running commentary of the day's events and expresses her opinion about everything that she finds interesting. Coco and other sentient beings like her, bring to mind our sense of humanity, honour, respect, kindness, and love towards all fellow beings.

Anatole France once said, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." To me, animals live life at its best and at its finest. I feel immensely grateful that they are part of our world. Let's try to improve their lives if we can.

All funds donated to this page will go towards the Linda Lee Leong Endowment Fund which is invested in perpetuity. The annual investment interest earned will be used to care for the animals at the BC SPCA.
