Help Care for Unhoused Pets
Supporting Areas of Greatest Need
Held by Ethans Mitzvah Project
Dear friends and family,
Animals are a really important part of my life, and I know they are for many other people too. Charlies Pet Food Bank is part of the BC SPCA. It helps people who are unhoused or living in poverty by giving them free pet food and veterinary services in downtown Vancouver. The pet food bank gets what it needs from people in the community who donate.
Scientists have found that pets can help people in many ways. Pets can make us feel less lonely, help us feel happier, and even keep our hearts healthier. They can also help lower stress and make people more active. For people who are unhoused, having a pet can help them stay away from drugs and alcohol and keep them out of trouble by stopping them from doing risky things like stealing or fighting.
Everyone deserves the love of a pet. Please help by donating today.
